There are plenty of NBA rumors swirling as we creep closer to the trade deadline. Both the New Orleans Pelicans and Los Angeles Clippers could be looking to make some sort of move. They both have features and assets that would help the other moving forward this year.
The Clippers are playing good ball behind Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. They are one of the top teams in the Western Conference which was expected coming into the season.
To avoid another disappointing finish, Los Angeles could look to improve the point guard position. Patrick Beverley has been starting at the top of the offense for the Clippers this year. That is something that could hurt them come playoff time given his better fit coming off the bench.
This is where the Pelicans come in to play. They are a franchise that has been looking to get younger. They traded Jrue Holiday to the Milwaukee Bucks at the beginning of the offseason. They have been rumored to be interested in trading both Lonzo Ball and JJ Redick.
Another veteran option that could be on the move is Eric Bledsoe. He came over in the Holiday trade. This is a chance for New Orleans to continue to reshape its roster around Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram.
This would be a deal to point both teams further in the direction they are heading. Let’s take a look at what it might take for the Clippers to land their point guard.
