This Heat-Kings trade features Buddy Hield to Miami

One name that has been mentioned in NBA trade rumors since the beginning of the offseason is Buddy Hield. He was apparently unhappy with the situation he has with the Sacramento Kings. To this point, he has not been dealt but the Miami Heat could be an intriguing destination.

Hield was viewed as the backcourt mate of De’Aaron Fox for the future. The Kings made this obvious when they signed Hield to a four-year extension. Last season, he was benched in favor of Bogdan Bogdanovic and that caused some ill feelings. With Bogdanovic now in Atlanta, Hield has been thrown back into the mix and is performing well, especially from three-point range.

This is an area where Miami could look to improve. Aside from Duncan Robinson, Miami lacks a true three-point marksman. Robinson has turned into one of the best shooters in the NBA but most of the Heat work is done inside the arc.

This could change with a player like Hield available. Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo would both benefit from this because of the team having another weapon to worry about.

It would be extremely interesting to see a player like Hield go to a contender like the Heat. Let’s take a look and see what it might take for this deal to happen.
