Why This Trade Would Benefit The Detroit Pistons
The Detroit Pistons are off to an abysmal 3-12 start to the season. They are looking like one of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference. This means the front office could look to blow things up at the NBA trade deadline. They have plenty of veteran players that could be used as trade pieces.
Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose are two veterans who have been featured in NBA trade rumors to this point. There is no doubt that Grant has the most trade value on the team right now, especially if he were sent to a team that wants to contend right away.
Grant signed a three-year deal in the offseason. It will take the Pistons a few years to rebuild so it seems like Grant was signed to be a trade piece eventually. Young players like Killian Hayes and Saddiq Bey could be the future moving forward.
Dwane Casey has his work cut out for him moving forward. The Pistons were busy during the offseason making moves to attempt to build up the roster. They have not worked just yet and this could lead to another move.
