Why This Trade Would Benefit The Atlanta Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks showed that they are interested in rebuilding and doing it quickly. They were unable to land that big name to take them to the next level but they could do just that in a trade such as this one. The duo of Karl-Anthony Towns and Trae Young would be dynamic and something that would have Atlanta back in the mix.

The Eastern Conference is very top-heavy with teams like the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks. It is not unusual to see a team below .500 sneak their way into the postseason. Atlanta knows this and could land a big trade to put them in position. Towns is a better version of Collins.

He is one of the best bigs in the NBA. Towns can shoot from deep and rebound on both ends of the floor. The NBA is a league where winning teams attempt to put together multiple stars on their roster. This is what Atlanta would be doing here.

The trade would not be cheap for the Hawks but it could be worth it. If Atlanta is interested in winning now, this is the caliber of trade they would have to make.
