3 intriguing trade targets for Chicago Bulls before the deadline

Since their last championship in 1998 with Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman, the Chicago Bulls have made the NBA playoffs 11 times, but have reached the Eastern Conference Finals just once, losing to the Miami Heat four games to one. Bulls teams through the years have shown a lot of promise and at times, were the best in the league, but this organization has not been able to break through and win without MJ.

Now, since their last playoff appearance in 2017, the Bulls have had three consecutive seasons failing to eclipse 27 wins and after bringing in Billy Donovan to be the head coach in the offseason, things are starting to turn around for this organization. With a legendary coach in Billy Donovan and a great group of young players, this Chicago team has a chance to finally put together their first winning season since the 2016-17 NBA season.

While they have started 6-8, their young players are starting to come into their own. Zach LaVine looks like an All-Star level talent and with guys like Coby White and Wendell Carter Jr. starting to develop into better all-around players, the Bulls could be one of the better, younger teams in the league in a short period of time.

The one thing this team is still lacking though is a star-level player. The last time the Bulls franchise had an All-Star was in 2016 when Butler was still with the team. Since then, there has been close to no success within this organization and it is directly correlated to the lack of talent over the years.

Zach LaVine has been snubbed from the All-Star game over the years because of this team’s losing ways, but going out and acquiring another high-level talent at the NBA trade deadline could prove to be the difference in the Bulls making the playoffs this year. With that being said, let’s take a look at three intriguing trade targets the Chicago Bulls should make a run at near this season’s NBA trade deadline.
