Why This Trade Would Benefit The Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors have been mentioned in NBA trade rumors to add another three-point shooter along the perimeter. Names like Buddy Hield and Otto Porter Jr. have been floated around. They would not get their sharpshooter here but the depth would continue to build.
It is no surprise that Golden State misses Klay Thompson out on the perimeter. Despite his absence, the team has been able to keep their head above water in the West. Andrew Wiggins and Kelly Oubre Jr. are beginning to get their legs under them with the Warriors.
If this continues, they could be valuable pieces around Steph Curry but they still have some work to do. This is a depth move for Golden State and one that could bridge the gap until Thompson returns from his injury next year.
The Warriors are a championship franchise and one that was expected to compete right away this season. If they make a splash prior to the deadline, there is a chance that they return to form this year.
