Why This Trade Would Benefit The Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers are a well-rounded team on both ends of the floor. If there is one area where they struggled, it was in the backcourt and they made a move to require Dennis Schroder. They could still use some more shooting and athleticism along the perimeter.

Kyle Kuzma has been inconsistent over the course of his career. It would help if you had another partner out near the three-point line. Porter Jr. comes with some baggage but that could quickly be controlled by playing with veterans such as LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Also, when young players are competing for a championship, the mindset should change. Porter Jr. is a young player who could be thrown into an incredible situation in this deal.

This trade would certainly benefit both Porter Jr. and the Lakers. If they want to make it, it is a low-risk move that they could always just released if it does not work out.
