3 intriguing trades the Knicks could explore including Julius Randle

Believe it or not, the New York Knicks actually are not that bad this NBA season. They finally have a front-office that is devoted to turning things around, they have a fantastic, underrated head coach in Tom Thibodeau and they have a lot of young players who have stepped up into bigger roles this year.

R.J. Barrett, Mitchell Robinson, Elfrid Payton and Julius Randle have all improved their games this season, especially Randle. The 26-year old big man came out of nowhere this year and while he had a great season last year with the Knicks, nobody expected him to make the jump he has so far this year.

After New York’s first four games of the season, Julius Randle was averaging 24.8 points, 10.5 rebounds, 7.5 assists and was shooting 55.9% from the floor. He nearly had three triple-doubles through the first four games of the season, but had to settle with just one.

As a result of his play and his continued success through the early portion of the season, Julius Randle is definitely on track to becoming a first-time All-Star this season and someone that could be the “saving grace” of this Knicks franchise. While he has looked great this year and the Knicks absolutely love what he has done, could they potentially trade him?

Randle’s value is as high as it is going to be right now and New York has been trying to land superstar talent for a while, so could they look to trade him in a blockbuster move? With no player on this roster over the age of 29, New York is a very young and hungry team and given the energy they bring, they could be a very attractive destination for All-Star caliber players moving forward.

With that being said, let’s take a look at three intriguing trades the Knicks could look to explore that would include their young star, Julius Randle.
