Why This Trade Would Benefit The Chicago Bulls

This is a blockbuster NBA trade that better work for the Chicago Bulls. They would have to make sure that Kyrie Irving has intention of playing and helping the team return to the postseason. Otherwise, they just gave up LaVine, Carter Jr., and draft capital that they need for nothing.

Billy Donovan is the new head coach in Chicago which means they have a good leader on the sideline for the future. Now, it is about building the roster. Despite the big names there now, the Bulls have been unable to put it together. Irving is one of the best players in the league when healthy and on the floor but is this deal worth it for Chicago?

The impact would have to be immediate. Irving is signed for this season and two more after. Chicago would give up a lot but the arrival of Irving is one that could help the team contend for a postseason spot right away.

Again, the front office better make sure that this is the right move. They have been rumored to send Zach LaVine or Lauri Markannen away for a big return. In this deal, LaVine would be apart of a big return sent away instead of brought in. If they believe the fit is right then the rebuild could be quick.
