Why This Trade Would Benefits The Washington Wizards
If Bradley Beal became disgruntled with the situation with the Washington Wizards, it would benefit the franchise to send him away for a return. He is still one of the top players in the NBA and would warrant many assets from the trade partner.
The Miami Heat have legitimate assets to send to the Wizards in a potential trade. Tyler Herro is an extremely intriguing trade piece. He showed a lot during his rookie season and will continue to grow as a player. He seems like the perfect mate in the backcourt for Russell Westbrook. Precious Achiuwa would help man the middle in a needed way, too.
The Wizards will also be getting low-risk options like Andre Igoudala and Kelly Olynyk, who are on short-term deals — mostly serving as salary fillers. The first-round pick is obviously coming to Washington and they could even ask for more if they feel a need. This trade jump-starts to rebuild and gives them a new backcourt to rely on for the future.
The Wizards gave the duo of John Wall and Bradley Beal plenty of time to try and win. They were unable to and now it is time for the franchise to go a different way. With Wall out, it is now Beal’s turn to find his way out.
