Why This Trade Would Benefit The New Orleans Pelicans

Both Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson are the real deal in this league. New Orleans has a plan for the future but still has a few years before it is fully put into effect. If they are able to add a third piece to their duo, this would completely speed up the process.

LaVine is the perfect piece. He is a player who is in need of a change of scenery. He has been mention in many NBA trade rumors but has not been moved just yet. During his time in Chicago, LaVine has improved his game from all three levels.

LaVine is an elite three-point shooter and can finish with the game on the line. New Orleans will be extremely difficult to guard because they would have three options who could get it done from all over the floor. Zion Williamson would be able to bully defenders inside while Brandon Ingram could get into the lane off the dribble easier.

The Western Conference is extremely difficult right now. There are many good teams that can win a championship so it will be difficult for one of the lower-level teams to move up. They will have to acquire some big-name players and that is when New Orleans is trying to do here.
