New Orleans Pelicans Receive: Zach LaVine

Chicago Bulls Receive: Lonzo Ball, JJ Redick, 2021 1st Round Pick, 2024 1st Round Pick (via LAL), 2025 1st Round Pick (via MIL)

Zach LaVine would be a welcomed addition to the New Orleans Pelicans. This would completely speed up the rebuilding process for the Pelicans. They would have to give up some assets to acquire a player like LaVine but it would be worth it in the end.

Lonzo Ball is the young name going to Chicago in this deal. Veteran sharpshooter JJ Redick would also be changing teams but this would work into the Pelicans plan of getting younger.

The Bulls would also get to NBA Draft picks, one from the Los Angeles Lakers and one from the Milwaukee Bucks. These are assets that would help promote a rebuilding effort after their recent crop of prospects has failed to live up to expectations.

Let’s take a closer look and see how this trade centered around Zach LaVine would benefit both the Chicago Bulls and New Orleans Pelicans.
