Why This Trade Would Benefit The Miami Heat

The Miami Heat were able to make their way through the postseason down in Orlando using some big-time performances from their stars. This included Bam Adebayo down low. He asserted his dominance early and often in series and made it difficult on opposing teams. Aldridge would help Adebayo and everyone else on the floor.

This is a low-risk, high-reward move for the Heat. He is in the final year of a two-year contract he signed with the Spurs. Aldridge is earned $24 million this season and will play well enough to earn that money. He has plenty of experience in the postseason and would help the Heat greatly.

This is a low-risk trade because of Aldridge’s contract situation and the fact that Miami could choose to offer an extension at a discounted rate. It is a high reward because of the player Aldridge still is. He can rebound effectively and dominate the midrange game.

Aldridge could be the big-name player that Miami is looking for. The teams in the Eastern Conference have improved at the top. Both Milwaukee and the Brooklyn Nets have made moves to get better and that is what Miami needs to think about doing.
