This Raptors-Sixers trade features Kyle Lowry joining Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons

Coming into the NBA season, these were two teams that were expected to compete in the Eastern Conference. The Philadelphia 76ers are looking like the real deal while the Toronto Raptors are off to a poor start. There could be some changes made in Toronto and it could begin with their franchise player.

Kyle Lowry is one of the best Raptors in franchise history. He has been around for the long haul and was apart of their championship-winning team. This season, Lowry is scoring 18.7 points per contest. He leads the team in assists with 7.2 per game while shooting 37% from three-point range.

Lowry has plenty left in the tank but the Raptors could look to head in a different direction. This direction could be Fred VanVleet, who they signed to a long-term contract in the offseason.

If Lowry is on the trading block, he would benefit a contending team. The Raptors are off to a 3-8 start this season which could cause the changes. The 76ers are a team to watch. They are one of the top teams in the conference early on at 9-4 and would be the perfect fit for Lowry.

The 76ers would not have to give up Ben Simmons or Joel Embiid in this deal which is exactly what they are trying to avoid in any trade they make.

The Philadelphia 76ers feel like this is the year for them to finally take the next step. Here is a potential trade that could help them take that leap in the Eastern Conference.
