If one of the best players in the NBA is available via trade then all teams should be interested. This includes a team who missed out on the postseason by one game last year. The Memphis Grizzlies are in a position to create one of the best backcourts in the league with this surprise deal by pursuing Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal.
Ja Morant burst onto the scene and showed his ability to be a franchise-player. Memphis has constructed a nice roster but they are still missing that other superstar to help lead the way. This is where Bradley Beal could come into play.
The idea of Morant and Beal on the same team should have Grizzlies’ fans salivating. Memphis is desperate to compete and it will take a lot to climb up the standings in the difficult Western Conference.
The Washington Wizards are a mess. They are currently in the basement of the Eastern Conference with just two wins. Beal and Russell Westbrook have not meshed just yet and it is unlikely that they will.
The Wizards would benefit greatly from cleaning house and completely rebuilding the team from the group up. They parted ways with John Wall already and now it could be time to send away another longtime member of the franchise.
