Why This Trade Would Benefit The Chicago Bulls
The Chicago Bulls are looking to return to relevance in the Eastern Conference. They have been a lottery team for a few years now and need to be pointed in the right direction. Billy Donovan was brought in to be the new head coach and this could be the start of the official rebuild.
The next step could be getting a return for a star. If Zach LaVine is the layer, they would get some valuable assets. Wiggins would fit in with the Bulls and hopefully find a home in their backcourt. Chicago would also get two first-round picks and save them to throw in another deal or add prospects through the draft.
Rebuilding in the NBA is not an easy thing to do and right now, the Bulls’ roster is not ready. Despite having some talent in LaVine and Lauri Markkanen, something is not right. It is time to blow it up and start over.
This means building around names like Coby White, Wendell Carter Jr., and Patrick Williams. The front office has a lot of work to do moving forward and this big-splash deal could jumpstart the process.
