Why This Trade Would Benefit The Orlando Magic
The Orlando Magic lost Markelle Fultz for the season to a torn ACL. They are getting dynamic play from both Evan Fournier and Terrance Ross on the perimeter this season. Their lineup is pretty balanced as they are off to this hot start thus far. They have options to make a deal with and Aaron Gordon could be that player.
Dennis Schroder would be sent to the Magic in this deal. He would immediately improve their point guard position that took a hit went Fultz went out for the remainder of the season. Schroder is a point guard with starting experience that knows how to lead an offense.
Alex Caruso is a spark plug off the bench that can handle the ball and give you great minutes defensively. A first-round pick would just be a sweetener in this deal for the Magic. This would allow them to continue building around Vucevic moving forward.
The Magic wants to become a true force in the East and not a lower-tier postseason team. They will have to do so by adding a few more pieces and reshaping their roster from what it is now.
