Los Angeles Lakers Receive: Aaron Gordon

Orlando Magic Receive: Dennis Schroder, Alex Caruso, 2026 1st Round Pick (via Top 5 Prot.)

The Orlando Magic has some assets to trade away if they feel the need. Nikola Vucevic is their NBA All-Star caliber player that they would like to keep around. There are some weapons along the perimeter that could be on the move. In this one, Aaron Gordon is that piece. 

The return of Jonathan Isaac won’t happen until the 2021-22 NBA season, but that logjam at the power forward spot still needs to be resolved. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers could use another wing and revert back to LeBron James being the point guard.

The Magic would get Dennis Schroder and Alex Caruso back in the deal. Schroder is a starting-caliber point guard who would help Orlando right away on both ends. Alex Caruso is another depth piece for Orlando, along with a first-round pick, that would be going back.
