We are a few weeks into the NBA regular season and James Harden is still a member of the Houston Rockets. Despite efforts to be traded, Harden has kept his spot in Houston but that does not mean that he will be there for the duration of the season. The Minnesota Timberwolves are a team to keep an eye on in regards to Harden.
During the offseason, Harden requested a trade and gave a list of preferred destinations. At the top were the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers. Neither team has expressed further interest in trading with the Rockets so they have began to look at other options.
The Timberwolves could be a surprise team to land “The Beard” for the season. This would create an intriguing duo with a former NBA MVP and Minnesota has one of the top big men in the NBA in Karl-Anthony towns. He has been a bit disgruntled over the years because of the current situation in Minnesota.
Minnesota recently attempted to add some star names such as D’Angelo Russell. They also drafted Anthony Edwards with the first pick in the NBA Draft. To keep Towns happy, they could make a big-splash move for Harden.
