Why This Trade Would Benefit The Los Angeles Clippers
In the offseason, the Lakers made it clear that they want to improve their roster. They did with the acquisitions of Harrell and Dennis Schroder. Now, it is time for the Clippers to keep up and make some big moves of their own. They extended Paul George but could look elsewhere for help down low.
Love is the perfect player to join the Clippers. He is a veteran player with great experience in the postseason. He knows what it takes and what it is like to win a championship, much like Kawhi Leonard. When looking at the Clippers’ roster, they are talented but imperfect, especially in the frontcourt.
Love would help immediately, once he is able to get on the floor. He has played just two games this season but for a team like the Clippers, the season is a marathon.
Los Angeles needs to have a better finish than they did a season ago. It was disappointing to see this roster not even advance to the Western Conference Finals. A player like Love can help them get to that level.
