Why This Trade Would Benefit The Golden State Warriors

It is never easy losing key players to injury. This is something the Golden State Warriors know all too well over the last two seasons. Both Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry missed significant time last year and this led Golden State to the bottom of the NBA.

The only good that came out of last year was drafting James Wiseman with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. The Warriors were looking forward to success once again until they receive news that Thompson suffered a torn Achilles.

Curry is back in looking like his old self. He would benefit greatly from some help on the perimeter as players like Kelly Oubre Jr. and Andrew Wiggins have not gotten the job done.

The Warriors a good enough organization with an elite head coach who will write the ship sooner or later. Come the trade deadline, Golden State could be buyers and use some of their assets to acquire big-name players.
