Golden State Warriors Receive: Mike Muscala

OKC Thunder Receive: Kevon Looney, 2021 2nd Round Pick (via MIN), 2022 2nd Round Pick (via TOR)

If Mike Muscala were to go to the Golden State Warriors, he would take over Klay Thompson’s roll on the wing as a sharpshooter. He is not the level of Thompson but he would help this team in their journey to get back to the top of the Western Conference.

The Warriors have players like Kevon Looney they would be able to send to the OKC Thunder. Most importantly, the Thunder would be able to get more NBA Draft capital in the forms of second-round picks.

This is something that Sam Presti has been interested in doing over the last few years. The primary objective for the Thunder appears to clearly be to add as much NBA Draft capital as possible.

Let’s take a closer look and see how this deal would benefit both the Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder.
