Why This Trade Would Benefit The Miami Heat
We have seen this before. A contending team decides that they are one piece away and looks for a veteran player to add in hopes of winning an NBA title. It is always a smart investment for both sides. That is certainly the case in this particular deal.
The Miami Heat proved during the postseason that their frontcourt was a force. They were able to dominate their way to the finals on both ends. They took a bit of a hit when Jae Crower signed a free agent deal with the Phoenix Suns. Griffin would come in and take over that role.
Griffin is a player that can play at all three levels. Griffin and Adebayo would be an extremely tough frontcourt to deal with. Also, Griffin bring even more star power to the roster.
Pat Riley is no stranger to big deals. He is the one who up together the original big three back in 2010. A decade later, he is still making an impact on the NBA and this would certainly shake things up in the Eastern Conference.
