During the 1990’s, Michael Jordan helped bring six titles to the Chicago Bulls organization, but since their last title in 1998, this once great franchise has seemed to hit rock bottom numerous times. Following Jordan’s departure after their final title, Chicago went on to have six consecutive losing seasons and since then, they have made it to the Eastern Conference Finals just once.

Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler each had their moments with the Bulls and it seemed like those two could potentially win another title, but knee injuries crushed Rose’s career and Butler was traded a few years back. Now, Zach LaVine and a young core lead an organization that has failed to eclipse 30 wins for three straight seasons.

New head coach Billy Donovan and the new coaching staff in Chicago seem to have things trending in the right direction, as they have started the season 4-6 and their young players are starting to come into their own. LaVine looks like an All-Star level talent and with guys like Coby White and Wendell Carter Jr. starting to develop into better all-around players, the Bulls could be one of the better, younger teams in the league in a short period of time.

The one thing this team is still lacking though is a star-level player. The last time the Bulls franchise had an All-Star was in 2016 when Butler was still with the team. Since then, there has been close to no success within this organization and it is directly correlated to the lack of talent over the years.

The Bulls desperately need to acquire an All-Star talent to finally change their losing ways and as a result, they could be eager to pursue a big name near the trade deadline.

Let’s take a look at three stars the Chicago Bulls should pursue via trade.
