Why This Trade Would Benefit The Los Angeles Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers have knocked out prior to the Western Conference Finals a season ago. This was a disappointing end to a year that was supposed to have a championship attached to it. That was not the case and there was one glaring need on the court.

Aside from Paul George not producing in the NBA playoffs, the Clippers lacked efficiency from the point guard position. Patrick Beverley acted as their starting guard despite his better place being off the bench. He was forced to step into an extended roll and it showed.

Lowry would create a bit of a big three alongside Paul George and Kawhi Leonard in Los Angeles and give the Clippers an experienced veteran at one of the most important positions.

Make no mistake, Lowry still has plenty left in the tank and could shoot for one more NBA title before he hangs it up. There are few better places to go than the Clippers right now if that is the goal.
