This Celtics-Wizards trade features Russell Westbrook to Boston

The Boston Celtics were linked to big men all throughout the NBA offseason and during the early stages of the regular season. This is an area where they need to make an improvement. Could they look to go in a different direction and pursue a talent like Washington Wizards star Russell Westbrook?

Kemba Walker is a player who the Celtics could look into sending away. He signed with Boston last offseason and has dealt with some injuries. The Celtics have been one of the top teams in the league for a few years now and are looking to take the next step towards a championship. They might be able to do so by adding one of the league’s best point guards.

Russell Westbrook immediately comes to mind. It is time that Westbrook plays for a big-market team and has a legitimate chance to win an NBA title. He was sent to Washington from Houston during the offseason. The Wizards could be interested in cleaning house.

If they do, this means names like Westbrook and Bradley Beal will find themselves on different roster sheets. Westbrook could be on his way to Boston to give them another elite option.

This would be a huge blockbuster around the league. It would change the course of the Eastern Conference. This is what a potential trade might look like between these two sides.
