Why This Trade Would Benefit The Atlanta Hawks
While the Los Angeles Lakers are ready to win, the Atlanta Hawks are trying to get to that level. This means adding good players around their franchise-player in Trae Young. They made strides in free agency and could continue by making a deal for a difference-maker such as Montrezl Harrell.
In 10 games with the Lakers, Harrell is already making an impact. The former Sixth Man of the Year is averaging 12.6 points and 8.0 rebounds per game while shooting 60.5% from the field.
Harrell would be an interesting option to pair with Young. They would work well together in the pick-and-roll game. This would make Atlanta difficult to guard because of the threats at all levels on the floor.
Atlanta is looking to compete in the Eastern Conference. This is a group that is very top-heavy so there is no reason why the Hawks cannot sneak into the bottom of the NBA postseason. A trade such as this one would go a long way.
