The Los Angeles Lakers are hoping to bring another NBA title to town this season. They have the team in place to continue to contend for titles for years. They made some moves in the offseason to improve but they might not be done. Could they look to acquire John Collins from the Atlanta Hawks?
The Lakers signed Montrezl Harrell away from their crosstown rivals in free agency. This created a dynamic frontcourt along with Anthony Davis. Los Angeles also improved the point guard position when they made a deal for Dennis Schroder with the Oklahoma City Thunder. They were able to dump Danny Green in this trade.
Both LeBron James and Anthony Davis signed extensions keeping them in town for the near future. The Lakers have it all figured out moving forward but could look to add another young star.
This is where the Atlanta Hawks come into play. Atlanta is a team that is attempting to build around Trae Young. Their efforts were clear in free agency when they signed Rajon Rondo and Danilo Gallinari. These veteran players were supposed to help take the Hawks to the next level. Atlanta could look to add another one from the Lakers in hopes of climbing up the standings in the Eastern Conference.
It would be interesting to see these two teams get together for a deal such as this one. Let’s take a look at a particular deal that would impact both the Atlanta Hawks and Los Angeles Lakers moving forward.
