Why This Trade Would Benefit The Philadelphia 76ers

Is this finally the year that the Philadelphia 76ers turn the corner? They have been underachieving for years now because of the poor roster construction. This is something that has been fixed. Daryl Morey finally built this roster and put players around Simmons that will compliment him well.

Those types of players are three-point threats. Ben Simmons is one of the worst shooters in the NBA. He thrives at getting in the lane and scoring around the rim. In the past, Simmons did not have shooters to kick the ball out tooo, other than JJ Redick. This season, Seth Curry and Danny Green are out on the perimeter waiting to be set up.

In this trade, the 76ers would continue to build depth. Both Kevon Looney and Jordan Poole are players who have a winning pedigree given their years with the Warriors. This is not to say that they will be the difference in winning a championship but they would be able to contribute immediately.

The city of Philadelphia is desperate for an NBA title. They have been close for years now and are looking for that next piece to take them to the next level.
