Why This Trade Would Benefit The Indiana Pacers

The Indiana Pacers are in a position to trade Victor Oladipo and go in a different direction. They have the players available to do so and could continue to add in a trade such as this one. It will be interesting to see who ends up winning the sweepstakes for Oladipo.

If it is the Heat, the Pacers could get an interesting return. Kendrick Nunn is an intriguing player given his successful first year in the league. He could benefit from a change of scenery where he is used more and relied upon within the offense.

Both Malcolm Brogdon and Domantas Sabonis are high-level players who will lead the Pacers for years to come. TJ Warren is another effective scorer on the offensive end. There is plenty to replace Oladipo with that will keep Indiana relevant in the East.

This trade makes all the sense in the world given Oladipo’s current contract situation. It has to happen before he is eligible to leave the team in free agency and the Pacers get nothing in return.
