This Hornets-Rockets trade would form a LaMelo Ball, James Harden duo

Why This Trade Would Benefit The Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets will go through some growing pains if they trade Harden but the future is bright. If James Harden is unhappy, then it would benefit the team to make a deal right away and rely on their other weapons to take over.

The first weapon is Christian Wood. He has been a pleasant surprise during his first year in Houston averaging 23.6 points and 10 rebounds in five games. He has stepped up with DeMarcus Cousins missing time. The haul that the Rockets would get back is huge.

Terry Rozier and Devonte’ Graham are starting-caliber players while two first-round picks allow the team to continue building up NBA Draft assets. Cody Zeller is a short-term commitment since this is the final year of his contract.

This offer would be too much for Houston to turn down. Harden had plenty of time to win with the Rockets and he was unable too. A franchise needs to go in a different direction sometimes and make a big move.
