This Hornets-Rockets trade would form a LaMelo Ball, James Harden duo

Why This Trade Would Benefit The Charlotte Hornets

Plain and simple, the Charlotte Hornets would be getting one of the top players in the league. It would all come down to what they wanted to give up and their belief in LaMelo Ball. Sending away most of the backcourt would show a loyalty and belief in their No. 3 overall pick from the 2020 NBA Draft moving forward.

Outside of Harden and Ball, the Hornets would also be able to keep Hayward. This would form a big three in Charlotte that could lead the team over the next four years or so. The Hornets are a team that is looking for that next-level player to get them over the hump.

There is plenty of excitement in the franchise as is but they are still struggling. Harden is a game-changing player that would give the team a new leader.

If the Hornets are looking to become a playoff team, Harden is the type of NBA superstar that can take them there immediately. This would be a big-splash move for the front office to pull off.
