5 teams who are off to concerning starts to NBA season

The 2020-21 NBA season is well underway and there has been plenty of intriguing teams to watch. The Phoenix Suns have posted an NBA best 5-1 record, both L.A. teams are off to strong starts, and the Atlanta Hawks look well improved. Meanwhile, there are some teams off to sluggish starts.

There hasn’t been a team with a worse record than the Washington Wizards (1-5) and the Detroit Pistons (1-4) and Denver Nuggets (1-3) are not far behind them, in that regard. It’s early, but racking up early losses can become quite difficult to overcome later.

Sometimes, it’s not just about the immediate record that a team posts to start the season. Having high expectations but achieving underwhelming results in ways that portray lower potential can be concerning. Take the Golden State Warriors, for example.

Of course, it’s too early to write teams off since some organizations haven’t even played their fifth game of the 2020-21 NBA campaign, such as the Toronto Raptors and Houston Rockets. However, there’s still plenty of justifiable basis to be concerned about the execution of some units.

With all of that being said, let’s dive into five NBA teams who have gotten off to a concerning bad start to the 2020-21 season.
