Myles Turner – Indiana Pacers
Not only is he one of the best defensive big men in the NBA, but he is a player with a reasonable contract to deal. Myles Turner has been at the top of the list of the league’s best defensive big men for the last several seasons and has found himself involved in a lot of trade rumors throughout the years as a result.
The Indiana Pacers love what they have in their big man and the plan on having him within their organization for years to come, but the question is whether or not Myles Turner wants to remain with the Pacers.
Over the last five seasons, Indiana has exited the playoffs in the first-round and with no progress being made, the Pacers find themselves in a tough position. Victor Oladipo and Myles Turner have been a part of numerous trade rumors this offseason and with the organization, fielding calls about Turner, it may not sit well with the 7-foot center.
Myles Turner’s offensive production has declined over the years with Indiana and his role in their game plan has slowly started to wither away. Even when both Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis were out, Turner’s use in the Pacers offensive approach was not changed. In the right place, Myles Turner can be one of the league’s best two-way big men and deserves to prove that he is more than a shot-blocker.
There are plenty of teams around that league that are interested in Myles Turner and with him owed $17.5M for the next three seasons, he is very affordable for championship contending teams looking to solidify their roster to make a run in the playoffs.
With Myles Turner’s role diminishing in the Pacers’ offense and frustrations of his name coming up in trade talks during the offseason, he could be the next big name player in the NBA to request a trade and see a change of scenery.
