This out-of-the-box trade idea would pair Joel Embiid with Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving

Why This Trade Makes Sense For The 76ers

On the other side of the trade, the 76ers would be getting a lot of much-needed depth and draft capital. Being able to acquire three first-round picks would give Daryl Morey a lot of assets to work with and could be used in a future trade to bring in another star.

Both Jarrett Allen and Caris LeVert are quality players. LeVert is starting to show star potential with the Nets.

So far this year in five games and one start, LeVert has averaged 15.6 points, 6.2 assists, and 4.6 rebounds per game. Allen has been a quality piece as well for Brooklyn, averaging 9.6 points, 12.0 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks.

Allen would not be able to “replace” Joel Embiid, but he would be able to help replace him. He would be a quality starter and would have a much bigger role away from Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. LeVert could become a very valuable piece for the 76ers in the back-court.

This is the kind of haul that it would take to even make the 76ers even consider trading Embiid. It still isn’t likely that they would pull the trigger, but this return could make Morey think for a second.
