The Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers are both considered serious contenders in the Eastern Conference this season, but both teams could be looking to make more moves. Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons have failed to get the job done over the last couple of years, while the Nets would like to add a third superstar alongside Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.
Could the two teams come to an agreement on a trade that would send Embiid to Brooklyn? A trio of Durant, Embiid, and Irving would be lethal.
However, coming to an agreement would be difficult in the same division. Even the 76ers deciding to move Embiid would be a shock. This may be a very unlikely deal, but it is one that is fun to take a look at.
This season with the 76ers, Embiid ended up averaging 26.5 points per game to go along with 12.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists. He also chipped in 1.5 blocks per game. Embiid shot 52.3 percent from the floor overall and knocked down 38.5 percent from the three-point line.
All of that being said, let’s take a look at an out-of-the-box trade idea that would send Joel Embiid from the 76ers to the Nets.
