Why This Trade Would Benefit The Houston Rockets
It is time for the Houston Rockets to clean house. We have said over and over that the new-look front office could be looking to make a splash. They already did with sending Russell Westbrook to the Washington Wizards and now it is James Harden’s turn to be traded.
This would benefit both sides. If a player wants out, and Harden has requested a trade, then it helps both sides to find a trade partner. Houston has a new head coach in Stephen Silas and could look to do things differently on the court.
The Rockets have lived and died by the three-point shot in recent NBA seasons. With Silas as a coach, we could see their style of play slow down. This does not fit into what Harden likes to do so a deal has to be made. John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins are now the centerpiece players in Houston.
The Rockets still have a chance to be a playoff team if they send Harden away. If Wall and Cousins can stay healthy, the Rockets still have a chance at competing in the Western Conference.
