This Knicks-Wizards trade sends perennial All-Star to New York

The New York Knicks showed a willingness to add an undesirable contractor in the offseason but did not pull the trigger on any move. This has been the story of the last few years which is why they have yet to build a winner in the Eastern Conference. This is a particular tree they could lend them a star they were linked to in NBA trade rumors.

New York was linked to players like Russell Westbrook and Chris Paul. They were both trade it to other teams early in the offseason. Houston sent away Westbrook and could be doing the same to James Harden soon.

The Washington Wizards currently have Westbrook running point but might be interested in trading him if the package is right. This would allow them to completely build around Bradley Beal for the future.

The Knicks could use a point guard like Westbrook. Not only would he help their play on the floor, but he would finally bring some excitement back to Madison Square Garden. If nothing else, the Knicks need something for fans to get excited about and watch every night. This is what Westbrook would bring to the franchise.

It would be interesting to see Russell Westbrook be traded again after just being moved a few weeks ago. Here is a potential deal that might get it done and land him in the Big Apple.
