This Celtics-Pacers trade sends Myles Turner to Boston

Coming into the NBA regular season, the Boston Celtics were in need of help in the frontcourt. This was supposed to be one of their biggest priorities this offseason, but they did not do much to improve other than signing Tristan Thompson. They are still deals out there to be made for Boston.

Myles Turner is an intriguing name for Boston to keep an eye on moving forward. His work on the defensive end is already elite and still getting better, as he has shown to start the season.

While Turner is off to a slow start in the three-point shooting department, he’s more than capable of spotting up and drilling shot in pick-and-pop situations. He also has shown an ability to put the ball on the floor and get to the rim for tough finishes around the basket.

If Turner is on the trading book, he is a player that could take the Celtics to the next level. They are already set on the perimeter with players like Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. A solid rim protector that can space the floor like Turner would only help their efforts.

As of now, it is unknown if the Pacers would be willing to trade Turner or focus on Victor Oladipo. If Boston makes an offer for Turner, it could look something like this.
