Why the Trade Benefits the Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls are a rebuilding team. They have been near the bottom of the Eastern Conference for years now. There is some promising young talent on the team such as Coby White and Patrick Williams, who was selected No. 4 overall in the 2020 NBA Draft.

This Bulls team faces a situation where they have finished near the bottom with Zach LaVine and Lauri Markkanen so they could certainly do it without them while attempting to rebuild.

Billy Donovan is the new head coach of the Bulls and is tasked with the difficult job of turning this team around. To do so, he will need a complete roster. Green is a player who would bring talent from beyond the arc. The biggest part of this deal for the Bulls would be three first-round picks.

The 76ers are a perfect example of a team that was able to build through the draft after being down for many years. This is what the Bulls could attempt to do moving forward. LaVine is an exceptional talent but he is being wasted right now in Chicago.

The Bulls have a rich history of success. That has not been the case recently. They are a franchise that needs to return to prominence and they can do so by making a few deals such as this one to gain assets.
