This 76ers-Warriors trade reunites Andrew Wiggins and Joel Embiid

Why This Trade Makes Sense For The Warriors

Looking at the current roster for the Warriors, they don’t necessarily need another stretch forward. Draymond Green can play power forward with James Wiseman being able to play the center position at a high level. However, Tobias Harris could come in and replace Andrew Wiggins as the team’s starting small forward.

Wiggins is a good player, but his three-point shooter can lack at times. By acquiring Harris, the Warriors would get better shooting.

Not to mention, Golden State will have to pay big money to Wiggins, who does not fit very well. Harris is on a big contract as well, but at least the Warriors would be paying money to a player who can fit in better.

When Klay Thompson comes back to full health, the Warriors are still going to be a threat. Stephen Curry and Thompson are one of the best scoring back-court duos in the league. Adding another legitimate scorer to take some pressure off of them would make sense.

Golden State may choose to hang on to Wiggins. They might think that he can fit well alongside Thompson and Curry and bring another kind of scoring to the court with them. Or, they could flip him for a piece like Harris.
