The Golden State Warriors and Philadelphia 76ers are two franchises who were mentioned in a ton of offseason trade rumors. While the offseason has come and gone, the rumors are not going to disappear. Both Andrew Wiggins and Joel Embiid were mentioned in a lot of those rumors.
Could the two teams come together on a trade? There is a trade that would make sense for both parties involved.
Wiggins came into the NBA looking like an electrifying star. He was expected to become a superstar, but that has not happened. While he may not be a star, Wiggins is still a very good all-around player and scorer.
Last season in 42 games with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Wiggins averaged 22.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists. In the 12 games he played with the Warriors, he averaged 19.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game.
Obviously, those numbers show that Wiggins can put the basketball in the bucket. That could be something of interest for the 76ers. The Warriors would be open to moving him for the right price.
All of that being said, let’s take a look at what a trade between the 76ers and Warriors for Wiggins could end up looking like.
