Why the Trade Benefits the Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets have constructed a team that is ready to compete right now. They were able to take down the Los Angeles Clippers during the postseason and take the next step towards winning a title. A trade like this is something that could help them towards the ultimate goal.
Kyle Lowry would give the Denver Nuggets another option in the backcourt and one that has plenty of postseason experience. Lowry is a winning player who has spent much time on good teams throughout his career and would be a nice one-two punch with Jamal Murray.
The duo of Kyle Lowry and Jamal Murray would be an incredible mix of guards who can do things well on both ends. Lowry would also mesh well with Jokic as a pick-and-roll partner, too. If the ultimate goal is to win a championship, then the Nuggets could look into this trade.
It is unknown if the Raptors are interested in trading Lowry. They have to decide if he fits into their future plans or not. That will be the deciding factor and it may need to occur soon since he is on an expiring contract.
