This Cavaliers-Hornets trade sends Kevin Love to Charlotte

Kevin Love knows a thing or two about being traded throughout his NBA career. If it were to happen again, he could end up on a team in need of help in the frontcourt. This is where the Charlotte Hornets come into play as a potential suitor for the Cleveland Cavaliers star.

Love was sent to Cleveland from Minnesota to form a big three along with LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. This trio led the Cavaliers to its first NBA championship in franchise history.

The Cavaliers have been rebuilding since James left to join the Los Angeles Lakers. They have become younger at the guard position but still have some veteran presence in the frontcourt. Love is a name that could be on the move sooner than later.

If there is one team looking for some help at forward, it is the Hornets. Charlotte has plenty of talent in the backcourt highlighted by third overall pick, LaMelo Ball. He will join Terry Rozier and Devonte’ Graham as centerpieces of Charlotte’s team moving forward.

Charlotte could make this deal in hopes of competing sooner than expected. If Love is truly available, a deal like this one could get done in the near future.
