The Los Angeles Lakers used the NBA offseason to field a more potent supporting cast around LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The team ended up trading for Dennis Schroder and used NBA free agency to sign Marc Gasol, Wesley Matthews, and Montrezl Harrell.

Gasol ended up playing just 12 minutes large in part due to his seemingly constant struggle with foul trouble. He finished with 1 rebound, 1 assist, and 1 turnover without ever attempting a field goal. Meanwhile, Matthews played just 11 minutes and was surprisingly bullied on defense without contributing much of anything overall.

It was evident the Clippers made a focused effort to attack the rim when Montrezl Harrell was on the court to which he could not offer resistance against. He managed to post 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists all while being a net negative in the game.
