The Houston Rockets have yet to move NBA superstar James Harden in a trade. There have been talks to conversations that have begun with teams like the Miami Heat other than the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets. If this is true, he could be on the move soon but nothing is for sure.
One thing we do know is that Houston is not afraid to make the big move. They sent Russell Westbrook to Washington in exchange for John Wall. He will not join DeMarcus Cousins on the Rockets in hopes of reshaping the roster. If this is the plan for the new front office, then Harden could certainly be next.
The Miami Heat have been in pursuit of a star player. They had hopes of landing Giannis Antetokounmpo prior to the extension he signed with the Milwaukee Bucks. Now, they could look to go a different direction in hopes of winning a championship. Harden could be that star they need.
It’s fascinating to think about the possibilities for the Heat by adding Harden into the mix. Adding an elite playmaker to a hard-nosed defensive team that lacks that type of talent would go a long way.
This would certainly be a blockbuster deal for both sides with many moving parts. Let’s take a look at how this deal might get done.
