The Boston Celtics are a team that has been linked to many players throughout the NBA offseason. So far, they have not made any big splash moves. There is still a chance for a deal to be made and this one with the Orlando Magic could be it.
Boston came into the offseason with a huge need in the frontcourt. They signed Tristian Thompson to team up with Daniel Theis and Robert Williams. This was not exactly the blockbuster movie fans might have hoped for so Boston could choose to get stronger on the perimeter to make up for it. That is where the Magic fit in.
With Jonathan Isaac sidelined for the 2020-21 NBA season, it will be a real challenge for the Magic to achieve much success. The Eastern Conference will be considerably stronger than it normally is on top of Orlando having to compete with a depleted roster.
