Both the Toronto Raptors and Miami Heat are expected to be serious contenders in the Eastern Conference this season. Last year, they both made playoff runs, but the Heat happened to make it all the way to the NBA Finals. Could these two teams come together on a potential trade that would send Kyle Lowry to South Beach to pair up with Jimmy Butler?
Well, that escalated quickly. The Raptors were mentioned in a lot of rumors this offseason and Lowry was included in some of them. A potential move could make sense between the two teams.
Even though Lowry has been a legitimate star for the Raptors over the last few years, he could be available for the right price. Toronto went out and re-signed Fred VanVleet to a big contract this offseason and he is more than ready to take over as the franchise point guard. Moving Lowry for a good return could actually help the Raptors.
Last season in Toronto, Lowry ended up averaging 19.4 points per game to go along with 7.5 assists and 5.0 rebounds. He shot 41.6 percent from the floor overall and knocked down 35.2 percent from the three-point line.
A trade to the Heat would give Lowry the chance to continue competing for another ring. Miami also has quite a few pieces that the Raptors could like to have in return.
All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at a potential trade that would send Kyle Lowry from the Raptors to the Heat.
