The Brooklyn Nets are finally healthy and are beginning to look explosive in the preseason. Both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving look like they have not missed a step on the court. If this is true, the Nets will be an elite contender in the Eastern Conference but could look to add more depth. The Chicago Bulls have a potential option in Thaddeus Young.
Last season, the Nets were hit hard with injuries last season which caused them to miss the playoffs. That is not the case this season. Durant and Irving are back along with role players such as Caris LeVert, Spencer Dinwiddie, and Jarrett Allen. This is a team that is ready to win but Irving mentioned last year that the team could use another piece.
The Bulls have both that could be sent to the Nets but we will focus on a veteran in this deal. There isn’t quite as much room for options at the four spot in Chicago after the team elected to use their first-round pick in the 2020 NBA Draft on Patrick Williams.
It’s clear the Bulls are a rebuilding team that could be looking to unload some of their older players in hopes of reshaping the roster. That’s especially the case at positions with lots of young talent.
If these two sides were to get together for a deal centered around Thaddeus Young, it might look something like this.
