Kevin Love knows about being traded during his career. He has been a trade piece before and has helped build a big three with the Cleveland Cavaliers that won a championship. If he is on the trading block once again, he could be sent to the Miami Heat to try and accomplish the same goal alongside Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.
Miami is coming off of an NBA Finals loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. They have two cornerstone players in Butler and Adebayo.
Butler emerged as a big game player and finisher during the postseason. Adebayo is quickly turning into one of the top bigs in the league. They have some above average role players in Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson, but could choose to add another.
The Cavaliers have a roster that is constructed in a strange way. In the back-court, they seem to be getting younger with Collin Sexton and Darius Garland. They used their first-round pick on Isaac Okoro in this year’s draft. That is not the case downlow.
Both Love and Andre Drummond are still in Cleveland as of now. If they move further towards rebuilding, the Cavaliers could choose to send one or both away.
If Kevin Love is a trade target for the Heat, this deal might be something that could get it done. Here is what a potential trade might look like between the two sides.
